    Friday, May 19 – Sunday, May 21

Work weekend is a great way for you, your family, and friends to gather at camp, help get it ready for the summer season, and enjoy time with one another. There is a lot that needs to be done and we appreciate the support from our alumni, current families and friends each Spring.

NEW: This year we are asking families and/or groups to ADOPT a building for the weekend. Our biggest need is getting every space at camp ready for guests, looking good, and freshened up. Do you have a favorite space at camp? Adopt it for the weekend! Or we can assign one to you. You’ll be getting it ready – inside and out – to welcome our summer guests and campers. This could include cleaning, painting, minor furniture repair (or recommend replacement), etc.

And we always need folks to assist with lawn care, gardening, tree removal, screen installation, and general outdoor duties.

Many hands make light work” so we hope you can join us for the weekend, a day, or even an afternoon to lend a hand for camp. We appreciate any and all time you can volunteer.

Lodging and meals will be provided for those that volunteer. Grab a friend, grab a rake, and join us for Work Weekend 2017. For schedule and to register: http://www.campoatka.org/workweekend/

    Dennen Week

Dennen Week is a special one week program for boys grades 6-10 at Camp O-AT-KA in Sebago, Maine. It is a week of regular camp, with normal camp activities, but is held for those that would otherwise be unable to afford camp tuition. The Dennen Week Program is modeled on our founder’s original vision of this very special place. The Reverend Ernest Dennen firmly believed that given the right opportunity, in the right environment, every boy would be able to raise his sights and aspirations to loftier goals. Dennen Week allows deserving boys the chance to experience the benefits of camp life that may have otherwise missed such an opportunity.
